Ignita Veritas University (IV University) provides higher education by custom Faculty Course Studies, as exclusive private internship and externship programs, driven by direct and personalized professional mentorship and apprenticeship, which thus cannot be made available to the general public.
Students are privately selected for limited openings by invitation, and accepted by recommendation, from the internal network of institutions affiliated with the intergovernmental organization (IGO) Ignita Veritas United (IVU).
Accordingly, the present topic is provided only for information, for public transparency of the substance and merits of the traditional academic degrees of classical scholarship which are earned under the available Faculty programs.

Ignita Veritas University (IV University) is structured as a classical university, in the historical sense of being “universal”, providing diverse infrastructure as a multi-disciplinary institution supporting various affiliated organizations, including other IGO institutions and autonomous Official Bodies.
The primary role and priority function of IV University is thus to provide academic and scholarly resources supporting a network of official and governmental institutions internationally. For this reason, the University concentrates on education and research in international law, applied ancient and medieval history relevant to geopolitics, and other areas of strategic importance to humanitarian values upholding civilization.
As a result, the development of centralized campuses and standardized curricula is optional and secondary, as the modern “business model” of classroom education is displaced by the classical model of interactive “education in action” through direct mentorship in applied knowledge with real-world impact.
IV University provides traditional Faculty Course Studies internationally, without the limitations of relying on centralized local campuses.
Academic Residency requirements for on-site studies are fulfilled by activity-based interactive learning with Faculty mentors at diverse locations, including:
(1) Official embassies, honorary consulates or representative offices of the host IGO and its Member States; (2) Private field offices, working facilities, operations bases and mobile task-force sites of the IGO and its Member Institutions; (3) Internship studies at established locations of affiliated or cooperating educational institutions; and (4) Externship studies on campuses of other recognized educational institutions.
As a result, all Faculty Course Studies of IV University are strongly supported by traditional Academic Residency, through a decentralized network of active Faculty offices and facilities worldwide.
Accordingly, IV University diplomas cannot be reduced to the modern “distance education” category associated with “online” institutions, but rather fully meet or exceed all international standards for resident Faculty studies as provided by conventional campus-based universities.
IV University is the first academic institution to apply the famous Montessori method to higher education, providing traditional Interactive Education through active inter-governmental projects supported by the University Faculties. This is facilitated by Distance Learning, enhanced by Telecommuting for direct personal interactions with Professors, providing geographic flexibility and mobility, and allowing part-time studies for working students and professionals.
For classical scholarship, the IV University motto is: “Those who can do, must teach, as the best learning is by doing.”
Interactive Education is provided through active participation in one or more of the Official Bodies, Ministries or Agencies of the host IGO Ignita Veritas United (IVU). The wide range of institutions and departments across diverse professions accommodates the Montessori method of “student choice of activity” with a “range of options”.
An interrelated series of relevant programs or projects are selected to form customized Faculty Study Modules, in furtherance of the desired field of scholarship. Academic studies, including research and writing projects, are guided and assisted by the relevant University Faculties which support the selected IGO departments.
For educational materials, the IV University motto is: “Study materials, as bricks of a castle, must be shaped for their purpose.”
IV University does not use standardized curricula for degree programs. Academic materials are organized by the context of the interactive program or project in which each student participates as their educational environment for applied studies. Course work is driven by the highly specialized, cutting-edge proprietary materials which the IGO institutions actually use for their active expert work on real-world projects.
Access is provided to relevant academic research source materials from internal digital library archives of IV University and the IGO institutions, as collections of text-searchable digitized books which students can download. Supplementary textbooks may be assigned by Professors of the supporting Faculties, as needed, which students can purchase from online bookstores for international delivery.
These practices implement the Montessori method of using “specialized educational materials” specific to the interactive projects.

IV University provides the faculty mentorship component of studies by Distance Learning, in the form of Telecommuting by interactive live communication, with emphasis on personal attention, through direct individual or group collaboration with Professors leading the educational projects.
This enables students to continuously engage in coursework at home, in a favorite local public or private facility, while traveling for part-time work, or even during field work or on foreign assignment pursuing active projects for the field of study.
This effectively applies the Montessori method of “freedom of movement” with a “personalized environment”.
Communication technology, combined with the freedom of Distance Learning, empowers students to fit dedicated blocks of study time and educational working sessions into their family, employment and lifestyle schedules. The classical model of “education in action” is implemented by direct mentorship, in the form of apprenticeship in the active practice of a scholarly profession. The focus of mentorship is on fostering the skilled use of applied knowledge to accomplish real-world projects.
Each student is carefully matched with a Faculty Mentor, and placed with one or more assigned supporting Professors. Mentors are selected from among the world’s top experts leading strategic projects of major impact, related to the chosen field of Faculty studies. Accordingly, placement opportunities are limited to exclusive private internships on current available projects of the affiliated IGO institutions.
All IV University degree programs require students to complete a substantial body of academic writings, containing a sufficient level and scope of source references evidencing scholarly research, which meet the traditional requirements and international standards for a Thesis or Dissertation applicable to the intended degree program.
The academic term “Thesis” is actually the Greek word ‘thésis’, meaning an intellectual “proposition” as a “proposal of a position”, which from ca. 1650 AD came to mean presenting an academic research work.
Traditionally, a Thesis presents a comprehensive review and analysis of a body of research from academic source materials, demonstrating mastery of the field of studies:
A Bachelor’s Thesis is expected to be at least 50 pages, and based upon 3-4 years of studies. A Master’s Thesis is expected to be over 100 pages, and based upon an additional 1-2 years of studies.
The scholarly term “Dissertation” comes from the Latin word ‘dissertare’, meaning a thorough examination and discussion arguing for proof of its conclusions, which from ca. 1650 AD came to mean a “formal written treatise” submitted to complete a Doctoral degree.
Traditionally, a Doctoral Dissertation presents the methods, results and findings of a scholarly research project, with supporting evidence of its conclusions, which should advance a solution to an existing problem or a practical proposal with significant humanitarian, socioeconomic or geopolitical potential.
A Doctoral Dissertation is expected to be at least 200 pages, typically involving 2-4 years of intensive studies.
The popular Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is not the highest degree in academia, but rather in many countries is called “Candidate”, as an entry-level qualification only to begin scholarly research for the full Professional Doctorate (usually Doctor of Science), which can be further elevated to the highest level of a “Professorship” Doctorate.
Traditionally, a Dissertation for a Professional Doctorate must develop and establish new and innovative research which makes an “original and unique contribution to advancement of the scholarly field”.
A Professional Doctorate Dissertation is expected to be at least 600 pages, typically involving 5-10 years of dedicated research and development.
This can be elevated to the final “Professorship” Doctorate, based upon further authoring established academic textbooks for institutional use in educational course studies, combined with a period of active work in a university faculty.
A Professorship Doctorate Dissertation, which may be a compilation of original textbook material, is expected to be up to 1000 pages.
For the degree programs by Faculty studies, students are privately selected for the limited openings by invitation, and accepted by recommendation, from the internal network of affiliated institutions.
Admission begins with a comprehensive evaluation of all prior academic studies and educational training, to establish the candidate’s degree program and specialty.
Enrollment begins with designing the custom Faculty Study Modules tailored to available mentorship opportunities.
Studies begin by placing the student with a selected Faculty Mentor and supporting Professors, who then engage with the student on relevant educational projects.
Flexible Pace Incremental Studies – The modular coursework system enables students to complete a degree at their own pace, either by part-time studies or alternating incremental periods of full-time studies, to graduate as and when their lifestyle permits.
Fast Track Continuous Studies – Alternatively, the modular coursework system also enables students to complete a degree on a “fast track” basis, by continuous full-time or over-time studies, to graduate at an accelerated pace.
Both Flexible Pace and Fast Track study modalities are accommodated by the continuous operations of the Faculties supporting the year-round humanitarian missions of the related IGO institutions.
Students can thus enroll and engage in studies at any time, without waiting for a calendar “semester” period to begin. Students can also continue studies uninterrupted, without any imposed “spring break”, “summer vacation” or “winter holidays”.
The degree programs of IV University are based upon earning modular course credits from the custom Faculty Study Modules, which include required academic research and writing projects. Credits are based on standard units of academic workload of course studies, expressed as an equivalent number of calendar months of traditional full-time campus classroom studies.
Such workload-based modular credits facilitate more intuitive planning of degree programs which are traditionally associated with a certain number of years of study. At the appropriate stage of Faculty studies, a Thesis Advisor or Dissertation Mentor is assigned for a final project to complete the degree program.
Studies and graduation may be accelerated by consolidating and legalizing Transfer Credits from external institutional studies, recognizing prior completion of equivalent Faculty Study Modules, through accreditation and examination by the separate and autonomous Inter-Governmental Accreditation Commission (IGAC) of Ignita Veritas United (IVU).
All Ignita Veritas University academic degree programs meet or exceed all international standards of the EU European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), UK Frameworks for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ), UN Guidelines for Cross-Border Higher Education (Section 2), and 2010 Lisbon Convention Criteria for Assessment of Foreign Qualifications (Articles 36-37).
All IV University academic degrees are earned by completing modular course credits, and scholarly research and academic writing of professional Thesis or Dissertation works, which meet or exceed all customary international standards for the relevant diplomas.
All IV University degree programs require partial Academic Residency of double the international standard (25%-50% of credits during residency), available through a decentralized network of Faculty offices and facilities worldwide, fulfilling customary standards for resident studies as provided by conventional campus-based universities.
All Transfer Credits are accepted only from institutional academic studies including research and writing, under qualified instructors at recognized educational institutions, which are relevant as equivalent Faculty Study Modules towards completion of the degree program.
